Masterson’s Tavern , located in the heart of Moonee Ponds , brands itself as a fashionable, contemporary hangout, but my most recent experience at this establishment quickly devolved into an unforgettable, terrible experience. While the bar may look welcoming at first glance , what I encountered behind its threshold was appalling and beyond comprehension .

The Condition of the Premises : Grimy and Disregarded
From the moment I stepped inside , it was apparent that sanitation was not a priority at this establishment . The ground was covered in grime , and a foul smell of stale beer and neglected washrooms filled the entire establishment . With a smell of a mixture of excrement , a rotting odor and a sickly smell. The bar area , which should be the focal point of any pub, was littered with unwashed glassware and trash that looked like it had accumulated over weeks. The restroom was in even a more revolting state — clogged , with a snapped lever and walls covered in what I can only assume was feces.

It wasn’t just a isolated occurrence either.
